The 'Plastic Theory' of Joseph Beuys

'Plastic Theory' is a concept of art as an evolutionary process. Everything is in a state of change.

By working with metamorphic materials, using his own body/himself as plastic material, Joseph Beuys extended art to a process of living, to an investigation into the structures of society.

'Plastic Theory' thus shows a methodology of working in art rather then being a definition of art. In transforming the 'Plastic Theory' by means of digital media in an interactive association of images, motion, sound, meaning, computer aided collage fosters new ways of perceiving and experiencing. An open model of conception to build on.
